There is no denying that the Google Adsense affiliate program is one of the easiest programs to make money from. It just has to be the very first program that any new website signs ups for. One of the reasons is because unlike most other affiliate programs, one does not need to register a sale to make money.
Traditionally the Adsense program has helped numerous webmasters pay their hosting fees. Increasingly the same program is responsible for helping many web hosts survive in the business and enables them to keep their heads above water even as they wait to sign up hosting clients.
There is a little Adsense secret that is rarely discussed but which can help any web host to tremendously increase their Adsense earnings.
It is a well known fact that people hate to be advertised to and therefore a site that has too much advertising on it tends to put off readers. That is why one of the Adsense rules sets a ceiling on the sets of ads that can appear on any site. You are actually not allowed to do more than 3 which is the absolute maximum. That would be ads somewhere at the top of your site, on the side and maybe at the bottom. In fact already this is too much advertising but I guess on some sites, as a result of clever design those ads can merge into the page so much that you do not even notice them.
The ideal situation is to place as few ads as possible in positions that are as prominent as possible, but at the same time to make the ads as invisible as possible. The less folks notice loud advertising on your sites, the less offended they’ll be and the more they will click on your ads. Also remember that the fewer the advertisements on the site the higher the value of your clicks is bound to be for the few ads displayed.
